Prairie Grass Project

The group or individual would find and identify approximately 30 grasses, forbs and shrubs which are common to the tall grass prairie and transplant them along the nature trail through our newly planted prairie grass area. Jeff Rue of the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks would work with the group to identify locations where the plants can be found and the layout of the trail.

Our goal is to have species identified along the trail so that hikers can view the plants and their identities and attempt to find them later during their hike.
